1st Class Protection is proud to be a Security Industry Authority (SIA) approved contractor for the provision of security guarding. We are in the top 5% of all SIA Approved Contractors and therefore highly trusted by them to provide security services.
The SIA is the regulatory body for the private security industry. The legislative Private Security Act 2001 requires the SIA to establish “a system of inspection for providers of security services, under which those organisations who satisfactorily meet the agreed standards may be registered for approval”. By holding this licence, we demonstrate that our management, assessment and implementation of security assignments have met all of these standards and, therefore, that 1st Class Protection is a name you can trust.

Established in April 2004, initially to help protect London's financial sector against terrorist threats, Project Griffin is now acknowledged as a way to be educated about counter-terrorism and crime prevention. Partners of this scheme assist the police in being vigilant so that we are prepared for any major emergency. The program brings together the police and other emergency services with the private security industry in targeting terrorist activity and deterring, disrupting and preventing terror.
Our directors and managers are some of the industry professionals that work alongside the police and other official authorities, attending training and seminars on how to tackle the growing problem of terrorism in London and the UK. Through this scheme, we have become a company more expertly prepared for terror-related incidents, knowing how to be actively vigilant – as well as training our guards to be so - at every site we secure.
The ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) is “the UK’s independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.”
It is imperative that all businesses and sole traders register with ICO so that consumers can be sure any processing of their personal data is lawful and adheres to the Guide to Data Protection (GDPR).
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) was created in 1997 with a view to improve standards of health and safety in the UK.
1st Class Protection are proud to hold this accreditation as evidence of our commitment to the highest health and safety standards. As a CHAS accredited company, we are officially recognized as being able to ‘adequately manage health and safety’ and we have the ‘ability, experience and resources’ to carry out all jobs to the prescribed standards. In effect, it is a symbol of utmost trust for our customers.
SSIP
Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) is an umbrella organisation that regulates Health and Safety in the security industry, amongst others. SSIP assessments are judged according to the HSE’s (Health & Safety Executive’s) core criteria. 1st Class Protection are proud to meet these specified standards.
SSIP assists both companies and consumers, making it an easy way for a company to demonstrate that they are meeting these set criteria, whilst simultaneously saving the consumer time in establishing whether or not that is the case with any company they are considering hiring.
CST
CST (Community Security Trust) is a charity that protects British Jews from threats of anti-Semitism. Having received charitable status in 1994, they are now recognised by the Police and Government as an inimitable model of best practice.
CST has almost 70 full and part-time office-based staff in London, Manchester and Leeds. They provide security advice and training for Jewish community organisations, schools and synagogues and secure over 650 Jewish communal buildings and approximately 1,000 communal events annually.
1st Class Protection not only holds their accreditation but works alongside them to teach other groups and individuals who require comprehensive security knowledge and training.
